Thierry Henry shows off his dance moves after France win Olympic semi

Footage has gone viral showing Thierry Henry dancing in France's changing room at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais following Monday's semi-final win over Egypt.

Henry has been in charge of the France U21 side since August 2023 but he was also given the honour of leading his country's men's team at this summer's Olympic Games.

France made a perfect start in the tournament by winning their first four matches - beating the USA, Guinea, New Zealand and Argentina.

But Monday's clash with Egypt was a tough test and France needed an 82nd-minute equaliser from Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta to force extra time.

Les Bleus eventually prevailed 3-1 after extra time thanks to another strike by Mateta as well as a goal from former Palace team-mate Michael Olise.

Henry, 46, had earlier acknowledged the home crowd inside the Parc Olympique Lyonnais

After the dramatic victory, French players celebrated on the pitch in front of their home fans before taking the party back inside.

A video taken by Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki captured the moment Henry returned to a rowdy dressing room and was ordered to dance.

The 46-year-old former Arsenal and Barcelona striker was known for having slick footwork during his playing career but his dance moves were not quite as polished.

Nevertheless, Henry's dancing went down very well among his players, who were heard shouting throughout the video, which was captioned by Cherki with the words: 'Paris on arrive'.

France will now face Spain at the Parc des Princes in Paris on Friday in the gold medal match, after Egypt take on Morocco for bronze on Thursday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, wearing No 14 - which is Henry's old shirt number, scored two goals

Men's football is a U23 event at the Olympics, with each nation only permitted to name three players over that age.

France's overage players are 24-year-old Sevilla defender Loic Bade, 33-year-old Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Mateta, 27.
