The Nintendo Switch OLED's third anniversary is only a few days away and yet, like all Nintendo products, it's near-impossible to buy one cheap. While we're not expecting any major deductions throughout October's Prime Day event, Amazon subsidiary Woot has put up a rare discount ahead of time. Today the upgraded Switch can be picked up for $300, which represents a 14% price cut or $50 saving. It's not huge by any stretch of the imagination but we'd be surprised if it's bettered in the coming days.

There are literally thousands of games available for the Nintendo Switch. Many of the best games of this generation are exclusive to the game consoles, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its direct sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizon and Metroid Dread, to name a few.
Most recently, the machine received the first-ever Zelda adventure starring Zelda herself in Echoes of Wisdom. Then looking forward there is a new Mario Party, a remaster of Sonic Generations and Donkey Kong Country Returns as well as a new RPG adventure with the plumbers in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. So while the Nintendo Switch 2 is likely to launch sometime in 2025, the current model still has plenty of life in it. It's a great idea for a Christmas present, especially if its someone that has never owned a Switch before.
