There are plenty of great ways to game on the go, but if you don't want to sacrifice performance or limit your library, you'll want a gaming laptop. Of course, combining powerful hardware with portability doesn't come cheap, and most well-equipped models start north of $1,000. So if you're on a budget, you won't want to miss Walmart's massive Holiday Deals event next week.

Starting at 12am ET on Oct. 9 (or 12pm ET on Oct. 8 if you're a Walmart Plus member), you can grab the powerful Lenovo Legion Slim 5 for just $849, which is a whopping $551 discount. This deal will be available until the event ends on Oct. 13, but it could sell out before then.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is packed full of advanced hardware that makes it a solid value at just $849. It's equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for fast and fluid performance. Plus, it features a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card and a 16-inch WQXGA display with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, allowing you to enjoy your games with crisp, detailed visuals. Weighing in at more than five pounds, it's on the heavier side, but is still plenty portable at just 0.99 inches thick. One major drawback, however, is its limited battery life -- only supporting around five hours of play time per charge.

You'll find tons of other bargains at Walmart's Holiday Deals event, along with Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, which both take place next week. And you can check out our roundups of all the best deals on gaming laptops, gaming PCs, keyboards, wireless mice and monitors for even more savings on gaming and PC gear.
