The Packers selected USC running back MarShawn Lloyd with the No. 88 overall pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Lloyd, who stands 5-9 and weighs 220 pounds, began his college career at South Carolina, where he played for two seasons (2021-22) after missing the 2020 season due to a torn ACL. In 21 games with eight starts, he rushed for over 800 yards and 10 touchdowns before transferring to USC for the 2023 season.
In 11 games with six starts last year, Lloyd rushed for 820 yards and nine touchdowns on 116 attempts, while also catching 13 passes for 232 yards. His 7.1 yards-per-carry average ranked seventh in the FBS among backs with at least 100 carries.
At the scouting combine, Lloyd ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and had a 36-inch vertical jump.
Lloyd will compete for a role in the Packers' backfield behind free-agent acquisition Josh Jacobs. Veteran AJ Dillon and undrafted rookie Emanuel Wilson are also part of the competition.
