Verizon announced that it's jumping into the smart ring market and will be selling the Ultrahuman Ring AIR in stores starting Tuesday. This venture will bring Verizon customers and interested consumers closer to trying out the advanced technology offered by Ultrahuman. Ultrahuman’s Ring AIR is a sleek, wearable device that tracks sleep, movement and recovery. It’s already been on the market since June 2023, but this partnership may offer more competition to other smart rings that exist like the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring.
The Ultrahuman smart ring continues to improve and add to its features, including the launch of the PowerPlugs store -- the first of its kind for smart rings -- which is a platform with apps and plug-ins. Recent additions include new PowerPlugs like Vitamin D, cardio adaptability, AFib detection and more. The ring already has advanced sensors that can deliver real-time data to keep users informed of their health stats.
In addition to the Ultrahuman Ring AIR smart ring, Ultrahuman is ahead of the tech game since it developed the M1 CGM glucose monitoring platform, Blood Vision, a preventive blood testing panel; and Ultrahuman Home, a health device that monitors everyday environmental factors in your home such as levels of natural light, if there’s air pollution, noise and humidity to name a few.
Tim Smart, the chief revenue officer at Matter Brands, a premium tech accessories company, says in the press release, "Our exclusive partnership with Ultrahuman and Verizon is opening doors to let people connect with a product in person, finding what works best for them in form and fit."
The Ultrahuman Ring AIR is $349, plus taxes, and now available for purchase at select Verizon stores and online at Verizon.
