Walmart has just announced the dates for its first Holiday Deals sale. Hot on the heels of Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days announcement, Walmart's Holiday Deals event is set to begin on Oct. 8 with big savings available through Oct. 13. The sale is expected to bring deals on top tech as well as toys, kitchen gear, fashion, everyday essentials and more with an exclusive shopping window for Walmart Plus members.
Early access begins for Walmart Plus members on Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. ET, giving subscribers to the program 12 hours to shop the early deals ahead of the general public. Starting Oct. 9 at 12 a.m. ET (or 6 a.m. in brick and mortar store locations), all shoppers will be able to cash in on the savings. You'll find plenty of holiday savings through Oct 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET, when the sale ends.

"We know many of our customers are beginning to prepare for their holiday celebrations early, and we've adapted our approach to best meet their needs," said Walmart's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Latriece Watkins. "We've worked hard to lower prices across our most exciting assortment ever, and we're thrilled to give customers more of what they want this holiday -- more time to prepare and more opportunities to save all season long."
Walmart has given us plenty to look forward to, announcing price cuts of up to 30% off tech, kitchen, power stations and select apparel, as well as up to 40% off toys, up to 50% off candles, up to 60% off floor care and beauty and up to 70% off luggage. And that's just some of the savings Walmart will be rolling out in October.
Walmart has also given us a preview of some specific deals you can expect to see. Here are some highlights:
- GTracing gaming chair with headrest and footrest: $99 (save $150)
- MSI Thin 15.6-inch gaming laptop (512GB): $599 (save $100)
- Hart 215-piece mechanics tool set: $98 (save $60)
- iYofe 24-volt Ford Bronco two-seater ride-on car for kids: $330 (save $170)
- Dr. J professional HEPA air purifier: $70 (save $110)
- Ororo unisex heated fleece zip-up hoodie: $105 (save $45)
There are plenty of other sale previews included in Walmart's sale announcement, and we expect to see prices slashed across thousands of items there and across many retailers as the massive fall sale season picks up steam. Notably, Walmart's sale kicks off on the same day as Amazon's October Prime Day sale, giving shoppers choice over where they spend their dollars. We expect other major retailers to launch competing sales, too.
