Wayne Rooney's footballer son Kai, 14, wows fans in training video

Wayne Rooney's son, Kai, has wowed fans with a training video as he showed off his technique in a social media video.

The 14-year-old, who was born in 2009 when dad Wayne was arguably at the peak of his powers at Manchester United, could be seen performing a number of drills in a TikTok shared by 'RH Elite Coaching'.

He was snapped showing off good ball control after receiving a pass and firing into the bottom corner with his left foot - a contrast to his dad's right.

The youngster was also seen taking a number of snapshots, before finishing off the compilation with a penalty into the top corner.

Fans have been left stunned by the video, with some having high hopes for Kai's future, which could potentially be at Old Trafford.

Kai, born in 2009, was regularly seen on the Old Trafford pitch during his dad's time as a player

'Like father like Son literally,' one fan posted on X, formerly Twitter, in response to the clip.

A third - a United fan - meanwhile, added: 'Him cutting in on the right in a few years? I need it.'

Kai is signed to United's academy with the hope he will be able to reach the heights of his father, who won a plethora of trophies at the club, including the Champions League and five Premier League titles.

He scored 56 goals in his first full season at the club's academy, and is no stranger to sharing social media snaps showcasing his skills.

In May, another video shared by RH Elite Coaching showed Kai being put through his paces, with United fans once again left in awe at his skills.

And the youngster is more than just a goal scorer. After signing for United's youth set up, Kai notched up an impressive 28 assists in his first full season with the under-12s while playing alongside the son of Cristiano Ronaldo, and has only kicked on since.

Fans were left in awe on the back of the video, with one calling for the teenager to be promoted to the first team

If he continues on the path he is on, Kai will be stepping onto the Old Trafford turf again one day, just like his father did between 2004 and 2017.

The youngster is one of four children of Coleen and Wayne Rooney, and was regularly seen on the Old Trafford turf with his dad during his time at the club.
