What to expect during Evolve24: Join theCUBE Oct. 10

Enterprise AI is evolving rapidly, with trusted data and modern infrastructure playing crucial roles in its success. As organizations increasingly rely on AI to drive decision-making and innovation, modern data architecture is becoming essential to meet growing demands.

For Cloudera Inc., supporting modern infrastructure for enterprise AI is a critical need. That’s reflected in a recent Cloudera survey that found that close to 90% of enterprises use AI but that outdated infrastructure and employee skills is hindering its full benefits.

“For the majority of companies, the quality of their data is not great; it’s distributed across various infrastructures and not documented in an efficient manner,” said Cloudera Chief Strategy Officer Abhas Ricky, in a release. “We’re seeing the fallout from that presented in the challenges identified by the survey.”

Cloudera’s efforts to solve these problems will be studied during the Evolve24 event on Oct. 10. The event will be a chance to learn more about how Cloudera’s ecosystem of strategic partners supports its broadening AI solutions for centralized data, including networking, data integrations, observability and more. Analysts with theCUBE will discuss the latest news and product announcements while talking with industry executives about modern data architecture.

Strengthening enterprise AI with modern data architecture

Over the past year, Cloudera has focused on building on its pioneering efforts in big data to support modern infrastructure for enterprise AI. That included the launch of the Cloudera Private Link Network in September, which the company said is intended to address critical data security and privacy concerns for highly regulated organizations with strict internal data security policies.

“As organizations move to cross-cloud deployments, they expect to drastically reduce the complexity of multi-platform configurations to a point that they should only have to specify private link network endpoints between their control plane and the data planes,” said industry analyst Sanjeev Mohan, principal at SanjMo. “Private Link Network helps enterprises protect their data more effectively and easily leverage disparate clouds to reduce total cost of ownership. This advancement further establishes Cloudera as a leader in providing secure, cross-cloud connectivity for metadata management.”

Other key updates include the integration of Iceberg REST Catalog for access to Apache Iceberg tables using third-party engines. In August, the company also announced that its Shared Data Experience (SDX) is now in technical preview as a cloud-native, containerized experience, intended to provide “end-to-end unified data security, governance and metadata management.”

The company’s approach is what it calls a true hybrid model, which it believes can provide a foundation for building AI use cases. True hybrid is where a company can have harmony in a multiplicity of environments with environments working cohesively together to democratize data effectively and generate insights, according to Shayde Christian, chief data and analytics officer at Cloudera.

“I want to build a workload one time, and I want to run it anywhere in the world on one platform. We’re the only true hybrid company in my opinion,” he told theCUBE in July.

What comes next will be studied during Evolve24. TheCUBE will provide full coverage of the event while talking with industry professionals about modern data architectures. You can follow theCUBE’s wall-to-wall coverage for firsthand insights.
