If you've been thinking about making the jump to Starlink, now's the time to do it. The satellite internet provider recently discounted the price of its equipment to $299 for all US customers, but it'll only last until Oct. 5.

Previously, the discount was only available in 29 states, where Starlink has "abundant network availability." Customers in these states will now get a one-time $100 service credit if they buy a dish during this promotional period.

To prevent users from other states from taking advantage of that credit, Starlink noted that, “Customers who change their service address to an address that is not a regional savings area will be billed the amount of the regional savings.” Starlink didn't respond to CNET’s request for further comment.

Customers in 29 states will also get a $100 service credit in addition to the Standard Kit discount.

The discount comes at a busy time for the satellite company. In July, the company debuted its Starlink Mini satellite dish, which is about the size of a laptop and has a router built in for an on-the-go connection. It also quietly rolled out an invite-only family plan to some US customers in the beginning of August.
