The system operates on a dedicated Layer-1 chain built by Ava Labs and FIFA, simply called the FIFA blockchain. The goal was to create invisible infrastructure, giving fans verifiable, fraud-resistant tickets without exposing them to blockchain complexity.

FIFA uses two digital entitlements: a Right-to-Buy (RTB) and a Right-to-Ticket (RTT). The RTB acts as a transferable reservation, separate from the ticket itself. Both layers are tracked on-chain to combat fraud and scalpers.
