Avalanche’s C-Chain has witnessed a remarkable growth surge, with daily transactions escalating from 250,000 to nearly 1.2 million since June 2025, resulting in over a six-fold increase in monthly transactions.
Stablecoin transactions, particularly in USDC, have fueled this growth, comprising up to 70% of activities and primarily involving low-value payments under $10. The volume of stablecoin transfers on the C-Chain increased by 330% year-over-year, indicating a shift towards everyday commerce rather than speculative trading.
In August 2025, the C-Chain recorded 35.8 million monthly transactions-the second highest to date. By late January 2026, cumulative transactions exceeded 1 billion, with 43.3% occurring in 2025 alone.
The launch of the MapleStory Universe NFT game in May 2025 significantly boosted activity, alongside a dramatic 96% cut in transaction fees, decreasing the cost from 25 nAVAX to 1 nAVAX. This change incentivized users to engage in small transactions, leading to a jump in daily active users from 30,000 to 600,000.
Avalanche’s subnet model also attracted institutional interest for real-world asset tokenization, further enhancing transaction volume.
Investors must navigate the implications of a network processing six times more transactions at drastically lower fees, generating only 24% of previous per-transaction revenue. A reliance on sub-$10 USDC transactions raises vulnerability to shifts in stablecoin dynamics. However, the 20-fold increase in daily active users stands out as a bullish indicator of genuine demand.
