Crypto asset manager Bitwise has donated $233,000 to three key Bitcoin developer organizations. The contributions, funded by profits from Bitwise's Bitcoin ETF (BITB), support Brink, OpenSats, and the Human Rights Foundation's Bitcoin Development Fund. This marks Bitwise's second annual donation of this nature, following a $150,000 contribution last year.

Bitwise co-founder and CTO Hong Kim emphasized the vital role of open-source developers in securing and maintaining the Bitcoin network. He stated the firm's commitment to investing in these independent developers, comparing it to a financial institution investing in its own infrastructure. The selected organizations were recognized for their deep commitment to the Bitcoin protocol.

This initiative underscores Bitwise's dedication to the long-term health and evolution of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
