Morgan Stanley is set to significantly expand Bitcoin's market liquidity with its upcoming BTC ETF option. This move by the major financial institution underscores growing confidence in Bitcoin as a mainstream investment.
Morgan Stanley has filed with the SEC for a spot BTC ETF, naming Coinbase and BNY Mellon as custodian partners. This development follows a period where initial ETF inflows primarily absorbed selling pressure from Grayscale. Analysts suggest that inflows into Morgan Stanley's ETF will represent genuine demand and new liquidity entering the market.
In a separate initiative, Bitwise Asset Management has donated $233,000 to support open-source developers who maintain and secure the Bitcoin network. This contribution, part of a commitment tied to its Bitwise BTC ETF (BITB), aims to reinvest in the ecosystem. The funds will be distributed to organizations focused on improving the BTC protocol.
