NEW YORK - Robin Vince, CEO of BNY Mellon, stated that large financial institutions are pivotal in integrating digital assets into mainstream finance. Speaking at the Digital Asset Summit, he emphasized banks' role as trusted intermediaries between traditional and digital ecosystems.

Vince highlighted tokenization of funds and real estate as near-term opportunities, noting that clunky legacy systems create fertile ground for innovation. He stressed that regulatory clarity is critical-without it, institutional adoption stalls.

"If it’s the Wild West… the 90% of the financial services community won’t engage," he said. He added that the shift will take 5 to 15 years, driven by technology, policy, and market maturity.
