Crypto markets edged higher Monday as traders bet on a nearing US-Iran peace deal. Bitcoin rose 1.6% to $77,500. Ether gained 1.4%.
On Polymarket, the probability of a permanent deal this month jumped to 37%, up from 14% on Friday. Odds for a deal by early June hit 46%, and 72% by end of July. The market has seen roughly $178 million in volume.
Iranian negotiators, including the foreign minister and central bank governor, arrived in Doha for talks. The agenda focuses on the Strait of Hormuz and highly enriched uranium. Pakistan and Qatar are mediating.
Oil fell 5.4% to $91.30 a barrel. Gold rose 1.35% to $4,570 an ounce. The dollar weakened.
President Trump maintained a conditional tone, warning the deal must be great for all or it's "Back to the Battlefront."
