Foundry Digital has launched a Zcash (ZEC) mining pool that rapidly controls approximately 30% of the network's hashrate. The firm, already a major Bitcoin mining entity, attracted multiple institutional miners to the Zcash pool before its public debut.

In conjunction with the pool's launch, Foundry introduced Zcashinfo.com, a new block explorer. This platform provides real-time data on Zcash network activity, including pool rankings, hashrate distribution, block details, and mining difficulty.
Zcash, known for its privacy features using zero-knowledge proof technology (zk-SNARKs), operates on a proof-of-work system similar to Bitcoin. Blocks are generated approximately every 75 seconds, and the network has a capped supply of 21 million coins. Foundry's pool utilizes a pay-per-last-N-shares (PPLNS) reward distribution model and remains open to new institutional participants, particularly regulated entities.
