During his keynote at BTC Prague 2026, Strategy’s Executive Chairman Michael Saylor redefined Bitcoin’s role in the global financial system. He argued the asset is not merely digital gold but digital capital, the core infrastructure for an entirely new economy.
Saylor detailed four pillars he believes will be built on Bitcoin’s base layer. These include digital credit for Bitcoin-backed lending, digital money in the form of stablecoins, digital yield for interest-bearing products, and digital equity for tokenized ownership structures. He framed this evolution as the shift from Bitcoin being a superior treasury asset to becoming the true operating system for capital markets.
Projecting the scale of this transformation, Saylor suggested Bitcoin could eventually command a price of $7 million per coin. He also addressed Strategy’s massive treasury of over 700,000 Bitcoin. While personally advocating a perpetual hold strategy, he clarified the publicly traded company must retain the flexibility to sell when required for operational liquidity.
