Solana’s memecoin launchpad, Pump.fun, has ignited fresh controversy with the launch of a new feature called GO, a bounty platform that invites users to pay “anyone” to do “anything” for unlimited rewards.

Within hours of the announcement, hundreds of bounties appeared. One user offered $50,000 for someone to skydive into a World Cup match dressed as a memecoin mascot. Another offered roughly $23,000 for a recorded interview with a family member of the person responsible for a death or the police officer involved. Others requested public stunts like quitting a job on camera, getting tattoos, or setting a car on fire.
Critics are drawing direct parallels to Pump.fun’s 2024 livestream scandal, where users broadcast harmful and violent acts to pump their tokens. At the time, creators threatened self-harm, violence, and animal cruelty. The platform eventually shut down that feature and relaunched with new moderation in 2025.
X users are now calling the bounty feature a “Black Mirror episode dropping in real time.” One community member warned, “Innovation without guardrails becomes a liability. Regulation and active monitoring are not optional here.”
Currently, there are 230 live bounties with 828 submissions and an unclaimed reward pool of $111,000.
