Securitize has appointed former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official Brett Redfearn as president and a member of its board. This move adds crucial regulatory experience as the firm prepares for a public listing this year.
Redfearn, who previously led the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, will focus on scaling Securitize’s offerings in asset issuance, trading, and fund administration. The company specializes in transforming traditional financial assets into easily tradable blockchain-based tokens.

His appointment signals Securitize's strategic positioning as a regulated bridge between major financial institutions and digital asset infrastructure. The firm is preparing for a public listing through a business combination with Cantor Equity Partners II.
Securitize co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo stated that Redfearn's deep familiarity with market regulation and Securitize's vision makes him a valuable addition. Redfearn brings extensive experience from both traditional finance and the crypto sector, including previous roles at Coinbase and JP Morgan, alongside his tenure at the SEC.
