Tokenization platform Securitize has appointed Brett Redfearn as its new president. Redfearn previously served as the SEC's Director of the Division of Trading and Markets, held a key role at Coinbase as head of capital markets, and spent over a decade at JPMorgan.

His appointment comes as the demand for tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) gains momentum. Securitize reported $3.85 billion in distributed asset value as of March, coinciding with tokenized stocks surpassing $1 billion on-chain.
