Anthropic is finalizing a $1.5 billion joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs to deploy its Claude AI tools across private equity-backed companies.

Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman are committing $300 million each, with Goldman Sachs adding roughly $150 million. The rest comes from additional financial partners. The deal, one of the largest structured bets on enterprise AI as core business infrastructure, could be announced as soon as Monday.

Anthropic recently closed a $30 billion funding round at a $380 billion valuation, nearly double its prior valuation, giving it the resources to scale both consulting operations and model development.

OpenAI is also pursuing a $10 billion joint venture with TPG, Advent International, and Bain Capital to distribute its enterprise AI tools, signaling private equity as a key battleground for AI commercialization.
