Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is spearheading a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) to develop infrastructure linking traditional financial markets to digital assets.

Pending regulatory approvals, this venture will function as a registered broker-dealer and futures commission merchant. It aims to provide OKX’s 120 million users access to ICE futures and NYSE tokenized equities. The collaboration underscores ICE's strategy to advance its footprint in digital assets, including previous investments in Bakkt and Polymarket.
Cuomo emphasizes the importance of harmonizing innovation with regulation, stating this partnership will leverage OKX’s blockchain technology alongside ICE’s established market infrastructure to enhance the financial system's transparency and resilience.
