Standard Chartered has appointed Manus Costello as Global Head of Investor Relations, effective April 2024. The bank continues its search for a permanent chief financial officer following the departure of former CFO Andy Halford.
Costello brings 25 years of equity research experience. He was a founding partner and Global Head of Research at Autonomous Research, a specialist financial services firm.
In his new role, Costello will act as the primary liaison with investors, participating in earnings calls, investor days, and industry conferences.
Standard Chartered maintains a significant digital assets presence through its innovation arm, SC Ventures. Costello's appointment does not signal a shift in that strategy.
