Several crypto-focused companies are in the running for inclusion in the Russell 3000 index, a move that would boost their visibility and access to institutional capital.

FTSE Russell, the index provider, published a preliminary list Friday. The Russell 3000 tracks the 3,000 largest US companies, requiring a minimum market cap of roughly $146 million.

Sharplink, with a market cap of $1.2 billion, is eligible for the Russell 2000. CEO Joseph Chalom said inclusion would broaden the shareholder base and strengthen capital markets access.

Forward Industries, a Solana treasury firm valued at $350 million, is also eligible for the Russell 2000. Chief Investment Officer Ryan Navi said index inclusion will improve trading liquidity and attract long-term institutional investors.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies, an ether treasury company, could join the Russell 1000. Chairman Tom Lee noted Bitmine's market cap exceeds the $5.7 billion threshold.

Galaxy Digital, with a market cap of $11.55 billion, is also eligible for the Russell 1000. Gemini, valued around $571 million, qualifies for the Russell 2000.

FTSE Russell will issue further updates on June 5, 12, and 18. The reconstituted indexes take effect after the US market close on June 26.
