Anthropic has secured exclusive access to one of the most powerful data centers in the world, Colossus 1, operated by SpaceX. According to the SPCX S-1 filing, the deal could generate roughly $10.9 billion in implied annualized revenue, making it one of the highest monetization-density AI data centers globally.

The contract grants Anthropic use of over 300 megawatts of power and 220,000 Nvidia GPUs at Colossus 1. The S-1 filing details expected annual revenue for SpaceX of between $3 billion and $4 billion from this single tenant.

Colossus 1 is just one part of Anthropic's broader compute strategy. The company has also committed to using up to 1 million of Alphabet's custom AI chips under a $50 billion cloud deal, adding over 1 gigawatt of compute capacity by 2026.

Anthropic's revenue run-rate has surged to $30 billion, up from $9 billion at the end of 2025, now outpacing OpenAI.

The SPCX S-1 filing provides a rare public benchmark for pricing and monetization of AI infrastructure in 2025 and 2026. For SpaceX, the lease demonstrates that data center operations can be a highly profitable business line as it moves through the public listing process.

Anthropic’s dual infrastructure strategy-combining GPU-heavy capacity from SpaceX with custom chips from Alphabet-gives it a hardware-agnostic resilience most AI companies lack.
