BUDAPEST, May 29 - Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said Friday the club is hungry to write history and win their first Champions League final, riding the momentum of their first Premier League title in 22 years.

The English side faces Paris St Germain in Saturday’s final in Budapest, aiming to cement their status among Europe’s elite.

Arteta said the Premier League win has only intensified their desire, not lifted the pressure. “The ambition is bigger,” he told reporters. “We have won and we want the second one... That has to be a platform to reach bigger destinations.”

Reflecting on last year’s semi-final defeat to PSG, he added: “We are here because we earned the right to be here. Tomorrow on the field we will have to earn the right to win the trophy.”

Arteta confirmed right-sided Dutch full back Jurrien Timber, injured since March, and winger Noni Madueke are fit to start.
