MELBOURNE, March 24: Despite a two-year absence from the Australia camp, Alex Robertson has reaffirmed his commitment to the Socceroos. The Cardiff City midfielder, born in Scotland but raised in Australia, is back in the team's fold and set to play in upcoming friendlies against Cameroon and Curacao.

Robertson, 22, whose family has deep ties to Australia, previously played for England at junior levels and is eligible to represent Scotland and Peru. However, he dismissed rumors of switching allegiances, stating, 'There was never really any thought to go anywhere else. It was always Australia.'

The upcoming matches, which serve as the Socceroos' final warm-ups before the World Cup, are crucial for Robertson to secure a spot in the tournament. He expressed his enthusiasm, saying, 'It would mean the world to me. It’s something I dreamt of as a little kid.'
