SOFIA GOGGIA claimed her first Super-G Crystal Globe Sunday in Lillehammer. The Italian champion defeated Switzerland’s Corinne Suter by three-tenths of a second at the Kvitfjell venue.
Shiffrin finished outside the scoring positions, failing to register points in the speed event. Despite this, she maintains a slim 45-point advantage over German rival Emma Aicher heading into the season finale. With two events remaining worth 200 points total, Shiffrin chases her sixth overall title.
Italy dominated the podium across the weekend, with Laura Pirovano securing the downhill Globe earlier. Meanwhile, Swiss skier Marco Odermatt has already clinched the men’s overall championship.
