Aleksander Aamodt Kilde has been named to the Norwegian team for the next season, signaling his return to professional skiing after a period of injury and rehabilitation. The 33-year-old speed specialist, a former overall World Cup champion, missed the latter half of last season and the Winter Olympics following a serious crash in Wengen in January 2024. Kilde, who previously won World Cup downhill titles in 2022 and 2023 and the overall championship in 2020, underwent multiple surgeries and recovered from a life-threatening infection. He is also known as the fiancé of American skiing star Mikaela Shiffrin.
