Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on his players to maintain their hunger and desire as they enter a decisive three-week period that could deliver the club’s first Premier League title since 2004 and their first-ever Champions League trophy.

The Gunners topped Atletico Madrid on Tuesday to reach the Champions League final, and currently hold a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League, though second-placed Manchester City have a game in hand.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s trip to West Ham United, Arteta told reporters: "Stay present. Live in the moment. Prepare and show the same level of energy, hunger and desire we have shown all season, or more."

With the Champions League final against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain set for May 30, Arteta insists all focus remains on West Ham, who sit 18th and are fighting relegation.

Arteta said: "The full focus and attention to detail, all the energy now has to be put into West Ham. We made that very clear."

West Ham are unbeaten at home since January, holding Manchester United and Manchester City to draws and beating Everton. They sit one point below the safety zone.
