India overcame fielding concerns in their T20 World Cup semi-final win against England, largely due to an inspired performance from Axar Patel.

Patel's spectacular plays shifted momentum. In the fifth over, he executed a stunning catch running back to dismiss England captain Harry Brook off bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Later, he halted England's chase with a remarkable relay catch at the boundary to dismiss Will Jacks.

Patel caught the ball near the ropes and, realizing his momentum would carry him over, flicked it mid-air to Shivam Dube for the dismissal. "The momentum of both the catches was different," Patel stated, adding, "considering the situation of the game, Will Jacks' catch was very important."

Sanju Samson's 89 had earlier set the stage for India's total of 253-7. India is now set to contest the final against New Zealand, aiming for an unprecedented second consecutive T20 title.
