Afghanistan and Sri Lanka's limited-overs cricket series, scheduled for March in the United Arab Emirates, has been postponed. Media reports cite the ongoing crisis in the Middle East as the reason for the delay.

The series was set to feature three Twenty20 matches in Sharjah and three One-Day Internationals in Dubai from March 13 to March 25.

Afghanistan Cricket Board chief executive Naseeb Khan confirmed the postponement, citing issues with flights, logistics, and the regional situation. Attempts to move the series to Sri Lanka were also unsuccessful due to flight availability and logistical challenges.

The disruption underscores the impact of the Middle East crisis on international sporting events.
