Bayern Munich announced Saturday that forward Serge Gnabry will be sidelined for weeks due to an adductor muscle tear in his right thigh. The injury sidelines the attacking midfielder for key Champions League and German Cup matches this month.
The 30-year-old's availability for Germany's World Cup squad, set to be announced May 12, is also in question. Gnabry had been a starter in recent international friendlies.
Bundesliga leaders Bayern are competing for a treble, with a German Cup semi-final at Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday and a Champions League semi-final first leg at Paris St Germain on April 28.
