Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has been suspended from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for two years. The ban follows his decision to join the Indian Premier League's (IPL) Kolkata Knight Riders, despite a prior agreement to play for PSL team Islamabad United.
Muzarabani, 29, was initially signed by Islamabad United but opted to play for Kolkata as a replacement player. The IPL and PSL are now scheduled concurrently, preventing players from participating in both leagues.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that Muzarabani violated contractual obligations and principles of good faith by disregarding his commitment to Islamabad United for a conflicting arrangement. This action mirrors a previous incident where South African bowler Corbin Bosch received a one-year PSL ban for a similar IPL switch.
