British boxer Conor Benn is shedding pounds to return to the welterweight division and challenge WBC champion Ryan Garcia. After a victory over Regis Prograis in his Zuffa boxing debut, Benn is now focused on making weight for a clash reportedly set for August 2026 in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old, known as "The Destroyer," has a record of 25 wins with 14 knockouts and just one loss. He recently told M&F the decision to drop back to welterweight was strategic: "Ultimately, I just want to get back down to my weight, where I'm at my most dangerous, and get the world title."

Garcia, 27, boasts 25 wins (20 KOs) against two losses and has never fought above welterweight. He is required to make a mandatory title defense against Benn and has promised a knockout, saying, "Conor's about to get blasted, guys."
