Caitlin Clark is set to return to the Indiana Fever lineup Friday night against the Golden State Valkyries, after missing one game with a back injury.

The 24-year-old guard was a late scratch for Wednesday’s game against the Portland Fire. The Fever disclosed the injury just two hours before tip-off, and Clark was not on the injury report the previous day. The WNBA issued a warning to the Fever for failing to properly report her status.

Despite Clark’s absence, the Fever defeated the Fire 90-73, led by Aliyah Boston’s 24 points and Kelsey Mitchell’s 21 points.

Clark is averaging 24.3 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds per game through four games this season. She hopes the back issue does not linger, after being limited to just 13 games last season due to injuries.

The Fever enter Friday’s game with a 3-2 record, while the Valkyries are 3-1. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
