Mauricio Pochettino has named his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, with Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, and Weston McKennie leading the United States on home soil.

The squad is evenly split: 13 players return from the 2022 tournament in Qatar, where the U.S. reached the Round of 16, alongside 13 World Cup debutants. Pulisic, Tim Weah, and Haji Wright-the team's three goalscorers in Qatar-are all included.

“We are confident this is the best group of 26 players to help us achieve success at the World Cup,” Pochettino said. “These were very difficult decisions.”

Pulisic, of AC Milan, remains the most recognizable name. Adams, captain in 2022 and now with Bournemouth, anchors the midfield. AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun is expected to lead the attack in Pochettino's preferred 3-4-2-1 formation.

Gio Reyna made the cut despite limited playing time at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Alejandro Zendejas earned a spot after a strong finish with Club América. Notable omissions include Diego Luna and Lyon's Tanner Tessmann.

The U.S. co-hosts the tournament with Mexico and Canada-the first World Cup on American soil since 1994. The U.S. opens Group D against Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles.
