Portugal named Cristiano Ronaldo to its 2026 FIFA World Cup roster on Tuesday. The 41-year-old forward will make his sixth appearance, chasing the one major title that has eluded his storied career.

Ronaldo holds the records for most men's national team appearances (226) and goals (143). He is the only man to score in five World Cups and helped Portugal win the 2016 European Championship and two Nations League titles.

At the club level, Ronaldo won three Premier League titles and a Champions League with Manchester United, four more Champions League trophies with Real Madrid, and multiple Serie A titles with Juventus. He now plays for Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr.

Portugal is drawn in Group K with Colombia, Uzbekistan, and Congo. They open the tournament against Congo on June 17 in Houston.

Head coach Roberto Martínez selected four goalkeepers for his 26-man squad. Notable teammates include Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, and João Félix.

Ronaldo's longtime rival Lionel Messi, who led Argentina to the 2022 World Cup title, will also reach six World Cup appearances this summer.
