A time capsule opened at Good Shepherd Elementary School in Edmonton contained a remarkably accurate prediction from a student about his future.
Among items collected 26 years ago, including drawings and memorabilia, was a video where students speculated about future technologies and careers. One young student, Tyler Ennis, expressed his aspiration to play hockey in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers.
Ennis fulfilled this dream, debuting in the NHL in 2009 and eventually playing for the Oilers in 2020, concluding a 13-year career. He recently returned to his former school to reconnect with students and reflect on the prophecy.
Ennis shared his journey with current students, emphasizing the importance of pursuing big dreams, a sentiment echoed by the discovery of his own childhood prediction.
