PARIS, March 19 - FIFA declined to take action against Israeli football clubs operating in the West Bank, the global governing body announced Thursday.
The Palestine Football Association had accused these clubs of participating in Israeli competitions from disputed territory.
FIFA's Council determined the legal status of the West Bank remains unresolved under international law, making intervention inappropriate.
This dispute has strained FIFA relations for nearly a decade.
