FIFA will award official championship rings to the winners of the 2026 World Cup, a historic first for the sport. The governing body announced the move, modeled after rings given in the NFL and NBA, with 2,026 total rings to be produced.
Each high-purity gold ring with diamond inlays will be unique. Thirty will be personalized for the winning squad. The remaining 1,996 will become licensed memorabilia for collectors, with an estimated value of $30,000 to $50,000 each.
This decision aligns with the tournament's host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It represents a strategic effort to deepen fan engagement in North America. While some players previously commissioned unofficial rings, this is the first time FIFA has endorsed them as an official accolade.
