Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, projected as the No. 1 NFL Draft pick, has revealed a mentorship pledge from Tom Brady. Mendoza, who led Indiana to a national championship, met with Brady during a visit with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, reportedly told Mendoza he would push him and serve as a mentor to any quarterback the team drafts. Mendoza sees this as a significant learning opportunity, particularly with veteran Kirk Cousins also on the roster.

Despite his top billing, Mendoza is not expected to start immediately, with the Raiders' management favoring veteran development for young quarterbacks. Mendoza will not attend the NFL Draft in person due to his mother's health.
