Harmanpreet Kaur has officially become the most capped player in women's international cricket. The Indian captain surpassed New Zealand's Suzie Bates with her 356th appearance in a recent Twenty20 match against Australia.

Kaur, 36, has an extensive career spanning six tests, 161 One-Day Internationals, and 189 T20 matches since her debut in 2009. This achievement places her among cricket's elite.

Her leadership has been instrumental, guiding India to their first Women's World Cup title on home soil in November. Kaur has amassed eight centuries and 38 fifties throughout her illustrious career.

Head coach Amol Muzumdar lauded the milestone, stating, "Harman has been a special player for India. I want to congratulate her for the massive achievement."

Despite a recent loss to Australia in the T20 series, Kaur's record-breaking performance highlights her enduring impact on the sport.
