MUNICH, Germany - Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich routed Atalanta 4-1 on Wednesday, sealing a 10-2 aggregate victory to reach the Champions League quarterfinals.

Kane became the first English player to reach 50 Champions League goals, achieving the feat in just 66 matches-the third-fastest in tournament history.

Bayern, pursuing an unprecedented treble, will now face Real Madrid in a marquee quarterfinal clash between two clubs with a combined 21 European titles.

Kane opened the scoring in the 25th minute via a retaken penalty after Atalanta keeper Marco Sportiello was ruled off his line. He added his 10th Champions League goal this season nine minutes into the second half with a clinical solo effort.

Teenager Lennart Karl netted Bayern’s third, assisted by Luis Diaz, before returning the favor for Diaz’s 70th-minute strike. Lazar Samardzic scored a late consolation for Atalanta.
