Former Australian cricket great Matthew Hayden has been appointed batting coach for the Gujarat Titans for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Hayden, a two-time World Cup winner, brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished international career where he scored over 15,000 runs with an explosive style.

"Good batting applies pressure. Great batting owns the game. That’s the standard we want to set at Gujarat Titans," Hayden stated. His IPL history includes playing 32 matches for Chennai Super Kings, winning the title in 2010, and earning the Orange Cap in 2009.

Gujarat Titans Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki highlighted Hayden's "experience at the highest level, coupled with his ability to mentor emerging talent" as crucial for developing the team's batting identity. The IPL 2026 season is set to commence on March 28.
