Canada Soccer has named Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies to its 32-player training camp roster ahead of this year's World Cup, despite a hamstring injury sustained in the Champions League semi-final.

The team will train this week in Charlotte, North Carolina, before the official World Cup roster is announced Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Head coach Jesse Marsch says the squad is calm, focused, and ready for a home World Cup.

Davies missed March friendlies due to a hamstring strain and aggravated the injury in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris St Germain nearly three weeks ago. Canada Soccer says players will report to camp with fitness as the priority.

After camp, Canada will travel to Edmonton for a June 1 friendly against Uzbekistan, then face Ireland in Montreal on June 5. Their World Cup opener is June 12 against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto, followed by matches against Qatar and Switzerland.
