Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is expected to return to action before the end of the current season. The club confirmed Wednesday that a muscle injury suffered by the star player is not as severe as initially feared.
Salah sustained the injury during Liverpool's 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Initial concerns suggested a potential season-ending hamstring tear that could have impacted his future at the club. However, club medical assessments have now classified the issue as a minor muscle injury.
"Liverpool FC can confirm Mohamed Salah is expected to be available to play again before the end of this season," the club stated. It is anticipated he will be back on the field prior to the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.
Salah, a key figure for Liverpool and third on the club's all-time scoring list with 257 goals in 440 appearances, is set to depart Anfield at the end of the season. Liverpool currently sits fourth in the league standings with 58 points and is scheduled to face Manchester United next.
