The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the BCCI. The 19th edition of the competition will take place from March 28 to May 31, 2026.
The 10 teams play in a double round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the playoffs. The top two teams face off in 'Qualifier 1,' while the third and fourth place teams compete in an 'Eliminator.'

Teams include Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Each team has its own captain and coach, with past champions like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings looking to defend their titles.
