Jacob Fatu demonstrated his intense pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship following a pinfall loss to Roman Reigns at WWE Backlash in Tampa on Saturday night.
After Reigns secured his victory, Fatu unleashed a vicious post-match assault on Reigns, Raw general manager Adam Pearce, and several producers. The attack featured the Tongan death grip on the champion and super kicks to anyone intervening.
Reigns, speaking after the assault, declared, "This is why we shoulda never let Jacob in this company. You don’t belong here, Jacob."
The match concluded when Fatu reversed a Tongan death grip into an exposed turnbuckle, allowing Reigns to deliver a spear and secure the pin.
