Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA, Big Ten, and SEC. Williams claims the organizations have unlawfully profited from his name, image, and likeness (NIL) without providing fair compensation.

The suit, filed by the former Alabama and Ohio State star, asserts that defendants have continuously benefited financially from his NIL rights. Williams is seeking compensation he would have received from social media, as well as a portion of game telecast group licensing revenue.

Williams alleges anti-competitive collusion, predatory pricing, monopolistic practices, and deceptive branding in violation of antitrust and branding laws. The lawsuit states he received less than he would have in a competitive marketplace.

Despite a challenging start to his NFL career, including an ACL injury and a suspension for gambling violations, Williams has emerged as a key playmaker for the Lions. He has recorded 123 catches for 2,118 yards and 15 touchdowns over his last two seasons.
